Cartersville Volunteer Fire Department was established in 1954, with some of our founding members still involved today. CVVFD serves the northernmost part of Cumberland County along Route 45 towards Columbia and Cartersville.
Regularly monthly membership meetings are held on the first Monday of each month at 7 pm.
We depend on community members like you. Cartersville Volunteer Fire Department is always looking for additional members, and we provide training for our volunteers. YOU CAN HELP!

Our current long-beloved station no longer accommodates the larger equipment and demands of today’s fire service; access to the building and the emergency units is limited, and the building lacks or is very limited on some basic necessary functions like parking, well, and septic. We have begun preparations and planning for a new station, and hope you will take this opportunity to be part of this community project!
We have spent a lot of time researching options and touring fire stations in our surrounding communities, and have designed an efficient and responsible station that will be highly functional while staying true to the character of the Cartersville community. Most importantly, the new station will allow us to more readily respond to emergencies, to host trainings involving our members and the members of surrounding departments, and to recruit new members.
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
We are seeking funding for this project from a variety of sources, but its success is dependent upon the members of the community we serve. We need your support!
